EU projects in SEAFOOD

SEAFOOD company successfully implements projects co-financed by the European Union, supporting the development, modernisation and innovative solutions in fishing and fish processing. Thanks to the EU support, we can improve the quality of our services, invest in modern technologies and take care of the sustainable development of our activities, closely related to the fishing tradition and the protection of marine resources.

The beneficiary, Tomasz Włodyka, has received a grant from the European Union for the project ‘Increasing the competitiveness of Seafood Tomasz Włodyka by expanding its operations’.

Project description
The project involves the purchase of two electric refrigerated vans for the transport of fresh fish directly to customers – private individuals and catering establishments. The investment will enable the shipowner to diversify their fishing business by expanding their offering to include the sale of fresh fish delivered directly to customers.

The target group consists of individual customers – consumers wishing to order fresh fish for home delivery – and catering establishments – restaurants and cafés – which will gain regular access to fresh fish without the need for intermediaries.

The aim of the project is to expand the fishing business by introducing the sale of fresh fish with home delivery to customers.

Project value: 632 220,00 PLN

EU funding: 399 999,00 PLN

SEAFOOD Tomasz Włodyka is implementing a project financed by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan’s development plan under Action A1.4.1: Investments to diversify and shorten the supply chain of agricultural and food products and build the resilience of actors in the chain.

Project description
The investment involves the construction of a new cold storage and freezing warehouse used for service activities for other businesses (service fish storage and warehousing). The new warehouse will be equipped with equipment and systems that will enable more precise temperature control and lower energy consumption. In addition, the investment will include a photovoltaic installation, which will reduce the warehouse’s need for electricity from conventional sources.
The main objective of the investment is to develop the company by providing sufficient storage space. This objective will be achieved by increasing the capacity in the service area of fish storage, increasing the number of customers and increasing revenue. In addition to the above-mentioned benefits, the installation of photovoltaic installations under the project will contribute to increasing the use of energy from renewable sources in the region, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, decreasing the degree of environmental degradation and globally contributing to the fulfilment of Polish accession commitments regarding the increase of the share of energy from renewable sources.
